The White House on Tuesday agreed to honour the petition of millions of Americans who cannot spell Wednesday by officially renaming the mid-week day Hump Day.
Hundreds of letters and emails addressed to President Biden asked for ‘Wedensday,’ ‘Wensday,’ ‘Weddensday,’ and ‘Wednday’ to be renamed. An aide to the president confided that President Biden is particularly keen to see this change happen, as it is something he struggles with, too.
The president is said to favour the Wensday spelling, personally.
Asked why he was addressing this and not the petition to send Donald Trump to jail, President Biden is said to have replied “this is the land of Freedom, we can’t jail people here.”
There are more than 2 million incarcerated people in the US.
