After last week‘s controversial announcement from the White House, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar have joined the debate. The creators of the hit Netflix show Wednesday, which is returning soon for a second season, shared their support of President Biden’s decision on social media.
It was revealed last week that millions of American adults, struggling to spell Wednesday, had petitioned the president to change the name of the mid-week day. There have been mixed reactions to the White House’s decision to rename it Hump Day, with some x-users calling it ‘the worst wokeism ever’ and saying it’s ‘feminism gone mad.’
However, in a move that supports the presidential decision, Alfred Gough and Miles Millar revealed they will be changing the name of their Netflix show. Jenna Ortiga, who plays the soon-to-be-renamed Hump Adams, said: “I’m really excited about what this means for my character.”
Hump will be releasing in 2025.
