It’s the end of 2024 and the end of democracy in the US, the end of the year and the end of keeping climate change under 1.5. It’s the start of 2025 and the start of fascism rising in America, the start of the year and the start of something great.

In Nazi Germany, disabled and transgender people were sent to the camps, and died. Our great-grandparents fought against that, and we call them the greatest generation.

Well, we at Rebel Wrath think you’re great, too.

Let this time in our history not be defined by fascists but by defiance of fascism. Let it not be said they rose to power unopposed but oppose them. Let our generation not be the worst, but greater than any that has come before.

Organise. Build community. Resist. Protect each other. Find joy. Have faith in a brighter tomorrow, walk into the future with your head held high and know that we’re walking beside you, screaming defiance as loud as we can.

Be a punk. Remember the core values of punk: subversive, politically conscious, community based and DIY’d. It’s anti-establishment, rule-breaking fearlessness. It’s me, it’s you, it’s us all together. Punk has always been and always will be antifascist.

So be a punk. And if that doesn’t work…
