Cindy Lamor (44), from New Jersey, is taking 342 Bluesky users to court in a bid to sue them for obstructing her right to free speech, as set out in the US constitution.
Lamor alleges that by blocking her on Bluesky, these users have infringed her rights. “I’ve never even interacted with them,” she told press on Tuesday afternoon. “I don’t know why they blocked me. I’m nice.”
The Bluesky team have refused to comment on the ongoing legal feud, but one user who has blocked Lamor told us “she keeps posting pics of her cat and she refuses to use alt text. How hard is it really to write ‘a cat’ in the alt text block?”
Asked if they were concerned about the upcoming legal action, they replied “no, I live in Nicaragua. We’re not all Americans on Bluesky, you know.”
