Sustainability

Sustainability is a huge part of everything we do at Rebel Wrath. It is a key component of every decision made. Our manifesto begins with the statement: The rebellion is against global corporatism and greed, against the oppression of minorities, and against the destruction of the natural world in an endless, pointless pursuit of profit.

Rebel Wrath HQ is partially powered by solar panels, which is just one example of how sustainability is built into our business.

Trees

Rebel Wrath ebooks are widely available and can be bought on this site. Rebel Wrath print books are printed on demand using Draft2Digital. Because the books are printed as ordered, there is no huge print run which could result in books beyond destroyed if they don’t sell. Additionally, 5p from the sale of every print book goes to Just One Tree. Just One Tree plants a tree for every £1 donated, so 20 print book sales is all that’s needed for a tree to be planted.

Just One Tree is a fantastic company that plants trees in Madagascar, Indonesia, Brazil, Nepal, Mozambique, Haiti, Kenya, Argentina, Peru, Mexico, Zambia, Bolivia, The Andes, Ecuador, and Chile. 3p from every pound donated goes to kelp regeneration in the ocean, which can help save coral reefs. You can learn far more about Just One Tree here.

As Rebel Wrath is a business and the minimum business donation is £5, the money is currently being donated as an individual. Hopefully in the future we’ll be selling hundreds of books and can donate as a business.

Bookmarks

Rebel Wrath recently attended Cymera Festival in Edinburgh, where we gave away free bookmarks. These bookmarks were made from 30% hemp, 30% recycled paper, and 40% responsibly forested paper. Hemp is fast growing and requires less maintenance, and creates higher quality paper which is more resistant to tearing or yellowing.
